The Club Today

The Burnham Beeches Radio Club, like any other club, exists for its members.

The club has a varied membership with most members having an interest in all aspects of amateur radio, from just talking , to satellites and amateur television. The club meets twice a month on a Monday evening where there is usually a speaker on some aspect of radio or close interest.

The club gets out and about with several DX Picnics a year. These are weekends where the idea is to work radio, free from domestic problems and chores, last year they had the added bonus of using the special callsign GB6OS to celebrate the diamond jubilee. For those who wish, a holiday is arranged during the summer where radio is available over a longer period.

The club runs members nets on 2Mtrs and 70cms and sports a Packet Bulletin Board run by a member. The club also runs Novice training courses, and can run RAE and morse classes for members.

The Burnham Beeches Radio Club is open to all persons with an interest in radio communications, an amateur radio licence is not required. If you want to come along then you will be assured of a warm welcome. ( how to get to club elsewhere)
